Laura Dawn Latocki, 38, of Enfield, beloved wife of Christopher Latocki, proud Mother of Jayden & Autumn, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2022 at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, never giving up after a long and hard fought battle with inflammatory breast cancer. Born in Southfield, MI on July 21, 1983, she was the daughter of Thomas and Judith (Hanson) Sparks, and grew up in Michigan. Laura married Chris on June 1, 2005 and they lived in Michigan before moving to Valrico, Florida for 12 years. They moved to Enfield in 2020. Laura was a proud stay-at-home mom who loved raising and spending time with her 2 children. She volunteered with so many organizations and especially loved being a PTA volunteer and board member for Alafia Elementary in Valrico, FL, attended by both Jayden & Autumn and a volunteer coordinator for Youth for Understanding (YFU) during which she deeply impacted the many foreign exchange students she worked with. She loved the holidays, in particular St. Patrick’s Day and Christmas and loved the season of fall and to see the snow flying and decorated the house for every holiday and occasion with great zest. She had a huge heart for helping others in need, even when she wasn’t feeling the best. Laura was a fiercely passionate and proud USAF military and law enforcement spouse, and in the past, also a Captain in the Civil Air Patrol for many years in Michigan Wing. Her strong, patriotic nature showed in her decorating, crafts and the so many charities she supported selflessly. Her family wishes to thank her cancer care team at Sister Caritas Cancer Center consisting of Dr. Glynn, Nurses Cindy, Laura and Mariesa with whom Laura had a very special bond with as they wonderfully cared for her for so long as she fought so hard with a smile on her face the whole time and an unbeatable spirit.
