
Wayne L. Holmes
East Bridgewater – Wayne L. Holmes, 74 of East Bridgewater, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2021 in Morton Hospital. He was the husband of Janice (Jardin) Holmes to whom he shared 53 years of marriage.
Born in Lansing, Michigan, the son of the late Josselyn and Agnes (Lewis) Holmes, he was graduate of Dartmouth High School. Wayne also attended the former SMU. Wayne was employed as an accountant for 41 years with Tilcon and Road Safe Traffic Systems.
Wayne was a member of the Jaycees, the Knights of Columbus and St. John’s Youth Ministry. He also coached many of his son Michael’s baseball teams and his daughter Michelle’s softball teams.
Wayne loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren; he was an avid New England sports fan, especially the Patriots and Red Sox. He enjoyed music and Broadway, traveling and wintering in Florida with the love of his wife Janice.
In addition to his wife, his children, Michelle Blair and her husband Jeffrey of Assonet and Michael Holmes and his wife Jennifer of South Carolina; five grandchildren, Madison, Jessica, Meghan, Sarah and Ryan; three great grandchildren, Caleb, Cody and Maddox; many nieces and nephews survive him. Wayne also leave behind many wonderful friends.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 10:00AM in St. Anthony of Padua, 1359 Acushnet Ave, New Bedford.
